Dragon Mania Legends

Dragon Mania Legends will always be a project that is very near and dear to my heart. It was extremely special to help with founding a new IP that I hope will be around for a very long time. I was initially brought onto the project to assist the narrative design lead. In that capacity, I helped write the side quests for the game, as well as many of the descriptions of the dragons. I also created the character “Brant” who is an irritating child that wants to join the Vikings, the villains of the game, and thus continually challenges you to battle to get on their good side. The intention for this character is to act as a comedic side-boss for the game, and we had a lot of fun writing all of the wacky scenarios he would put the player through in an attempt to impress the Vikings.

I eventually became the narrative design lead on the project post launch when our original lead moved onto other projects. I was then responsible for writing all the game updates. I wrote the scripts for the islands of Gloamis, Illumina, and Glacios, which were major content updates for the game. I also created the main villain of this chain of updates – Gunhilda. Gunhilda is the mother of the Dunkelviking, the original major villain of the game, who comes to conquer your lands after you shamefully defeat her son in battle.
