I’m a storyteller with a passion for making games. My long-term goal is to become a Producer who effectively leads design and development teams in creating games that feature compelling plot embraced by core mechanics. I want to continue working in the casual space because it’s a developing market with plenty of room to innovate.

I hope to one day push the design envelope by making humorous games that focus on themes not often touched on in gaming like sibling-rivalry and commuter etiquette. My pitch for Rock It! is a good example of the kind of work I’d like to be doing.

Currently I’m a Project Manager with a background in MMORPG and Casual game development. My skills and experience include:

Project Management

  • Managing local and remote design and development teams
  • Drafting release schedules
  • Managing the allocation of team resources
  • Leading daily calls and post-mortems
  • Approving all submissions to the game design documentation for quality and continuity
  • Demoing games to potential investors and brand deals

Design

  • Pitching original concept
  • Creating game design documentation
  • Writing quests with unique characters and dialogue
  • Designing and balancing items against a real-cash-economy
  • Making game guides and walkthroughs for an official website

Quality Assurance Testing

  • Credited as a tester on eleven shipped games
  • Proficient in Hansoft, Bugzilla, and Fogbugz tracking software
  • Creating test plans
  • Training testers

Community Management

  • Organizing, executing and documenting virtual events
  • Engaging players in conversation via a virtual avatar
  • Managing player compensation claims
  • Developing company policy to address user issues
